EASTERN LOHIT TREK
DURATION 13 DAYS.
BEST PERIOD: AUGUST-OCTOBER/FEBRUARY-JUNE
GRADE : MODERATE
Day 1: Arrive at Dibrugarh airport. Transfer to Colonial Tea Garden Bunglow.
Day 2: Drive to Tezu the district headquater of Lohit district.
Day 3: Drive to Minzong .Overnite in Aborcountry tented camp.
Day 4: Trek to Idu Mishmi village of Kamlat along the Lapti river .3 hrs. 920 mtrs.
Day 5: Kamlat to Chikar camp. We walk through Mishmi farms where they grow corn and
other crops 5 hrs 1920 mtrs.Steep climbs .The campsite is in a limited area, but need to camp here due to distance and water availablity.
Day 6: Chickar to Nagrong. 2655 mtrs. 6 hrs. Steep climbs negotiating on rock faces at times.By the half day the vegetation changes to alpine.
Day 7: Nagrong to Footpass camp.4000mts. 7 hrs. The trek becomes easier from here once in Alpine forest. Footpass is a beautiful place with number of glacial lakes and rhoddoderndrons and primulaes all around.
Day 8: We trek to a crash site of WW II CNAC plane.7 hrs .Cross pass at 4400 mts

Day 9: Trek back to Nagrong camp 7hrs
Day 10: Trek to Laprong village.5 hrs
Day 11: Chingwatti drive to Hayuliang 4 hrs
Day 12: Hayuliang to Namsai 6 hrs
Day 13: Drive to Dibrugarh airport 4 hrs and fly out.
